In the late 1960s, economist Edmund Phelps published a paper that argued that there was no long-run tradeoff between inflation and unemployment. The 1968 paper made by Edmund Phelps "Money-Wage Dynamics and Labor Market Equilibrium" introduced the argument of natural rate of unemployment.
