we have

[tex]64^{(\frac{2}{3})}=\sqrt[3]{64^2}[/tex]

Remember that

64=2^6

and

(2^6)^2=2^12

so

substitute

[tex]\sqrt[3]{64^2}=\sqrt[3]{2^{(12)}}=2^4=16[/tex]

therefore

the answer is
