the slope of the line that passes through the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is computed as follows:

[tex]m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}[/tex]

In this case, the line passes through (3,1) and (9,8)​, then its slope is:

[tex]m=\frac{8-1}{9-3}=\frac{7}{6}[/tex]
