Angle Formed by Tangent and Secant = 1/2 (DIFFERENCE of Intercepted Arcs)

< A = 1/2 ( arc BC - arc BD)

27 = 1/2 ( 114 - x)

Multiply each side by 2

27*2 = 2* 1/2 ( 114 - x)

54 = ( 114 - x)

Subtract 114 from each side

54 -114 = 114-x-114

-60 = -x

Multiply by -1

60 = x

Next find arc CD

The total circle arc is 360

BC + CD + DB = 360

114 + CD + 60 = 360

CD = 360 - 114 - 60

CD =186

Angle y = 1/2 arc CD

y = 1/2 ( 186)

y =93
