The distance between any two points is given (using the Pythagoras's theorem) by the formula

[tex]d=\sqrt[]{(x_1-x_2)^2+(y_1-y_2)^2}[/tex]

Now, in our case

[tex](x_1-x_2)=9-3=6[/tex]

and

[tex](y_1-y_2)=10-8=2[/tex]

Therefore, the distance between the two points is

[tex]d=\sqrt[]{(6^2+(2)^2)}[/tex][tex]\textcolor{#FF7968}{d=2\sqrt[]{10}\approx6.3}[/tex]
