We can equate the real terms with the imaginary terms.

LHS:

2x -- real

3 -- imaginary

RHS:

4 -- real

-6y --- imaginary

Thus,

2x = 4

and

3 = -6y

Solving x:

2x = 4

x = 4/2

x = 2

and

Solving y:

3 = -6y

y = 3/-6

y = -1/2
