The form of the standard notation is

[tex]a\times10^n[/tex]

Where a is a number between 1 and 10

n is an integer

At first, we will multiply 1.3 by 1002

We can do the multiplication as

[tex]\begin{gathered} 102=(100+2) \\ 1.3(100+2)=1.3\times100+1.3\times2 \\ 1.3\times102=130+2.6=132.6 \end{gathered}[/tex]

Now, we will move the decimal point 2 places to the left and multiply the number by 10^2

[tex]132.6=1.32\times10^2[/tex]

The answer in the form of the standard notation is

[tex]1.32\times10^2[/tex]
