The tropic level can be seen as the food chain of a ecosystem. Organisms of the ecosystem will be classified among these levels depending on their feeding behavior. The lowest level will contain the producers, green plants. Next level will consist of the primary consumers, herbivores. Following is the secondary consumers, carnivores. Lastly, the highest level will be the tertiary consumers, secondary carnivores.
