Casual drinker is a person who drinks infrequently. Alcoholic is a person who is associated with drinking too much or too often.

Casual is under control and drinks in portions responsibly.

Alcoholics drink a lot and get intoxicated and hurt themselves doing so. They are also addicted to alcohol
