Lukas and Nick are following a recipe to back cookies. Lukas puts 3/8 of a cup of flour in the bowl, and nick adds another 3/8 of a cup of flour. How much flour do they put into the bowl altogether? Show your work.

6/8 3/4- in simplest form 3\8 + 3/8= 6/8

since the botom numbers are the same, we jus add the top ones
3+3=6
3/8+3/8=6/8=3/4

total is 3/4 cup
