The following paragraph about the Middle Passage has taught me that the slaves were severely mistreated along this rough journey, and for the time to come. It made me think about the freedom I have today and how I am not mistreated in this way. It also makes me feel upset that anyone could be treated this way just for the color of their skin. I want to learn more about why people thought it was okay to treat anyone with this behavior. What made people think this was okay? The way people of color were treated in this time was completely out of place and should not have been aloud. This is what I think about the Middle Passage.
