I don't have evidence from your textbook but here is an answer that you can prove. Agriculture greatly increase the development of permanent civilizations. It allowed those who were nomadic the ability to settle and not have to constantly move when the resources around them were depleted. It was ultimately positive because it allowed nomadic tribes to settle and not have to constantly move for new resourceses.
