3x - 2y

= 3(2) - 2(10)

= 6 - 20

So the multiply 3 × 2

[tex]3 * 2=6[/tex]

Then multiply 2 × 10

[tex]2 * 10=20[/tex]

Then subtract 6 - 20.

This shows that the answer will be negative.
