The Force Bill was a Bill that extended executive power and was designed to deal with the actions of South Carolina state, that passed an Ordinance of Nullification declaring the Tariffs of 1828 and 1832 null and void.

Because of the Bill, President Andrew Jackson threatened to use military force against any state that resisted protective tariff laws.
