so, firstly, we will draw diagram

so, we have

[tex]OW=4[/tex]

[tex]OS=24[/tex]

now, we can use Pythagoras theorem

[tex]SW^2=OS^2+OW^2[/tex]

now, we can plug values

and we get

[tex]SW^2=24^2+4^2[/tex]

[tex]SW=24.33[/tex]

so,

the speed of the woman relative to the surface of the water is 24.33 mi/h .......Answer
