A moving bicycle has kinetic energy, which converts to potential energy once the bicycle stops after climbing a certain height. The speed of the moving bike, the weight of the bike and the rider will determine the amount of kinetic energy the bike has. When the moving bike moves up a hill or an incline, the kinetic energy changes to potential energy by doing work to lift the bike by a certain height.
